CBIC Launches Deferred Customs Duty Payment Facility for Eligible Manufacturer Importers
Effective April 1, 2026, the EMI Scheme allows eligible manufacturers to defer customs duty payments, boosting cash flow and domestic production. This trust-based initiative requires online application via the AEO portal by March 2028 to facilitate smoother business operations.
