Facilitate pooling of knowledge and provide relevant inputs to the Food Authority.

Perform such other functions as may be specified by regulations.

Ensure that the Central Advisory Committee meets regularly.

Meetings shall be convened by the Chairperson of the Central Advisory Committee or upon the request of at least one-third of its members.

Ensure that the Central Advisory Committee meets not less than three times in a year.

Maintain proper records/minutes of meetings and the advice/recommendations provided to the Food Authority.
