Meat Processing Units

Units handling/processing more than 500 kg meat/day or 150 MT/year

Other Food Processing Units

Food processing units, including relabellers and repackers, having installed capacity more than 2 MT/day, excluding grains, cereals and pulses milling units

100% Export Oriented Units

Food business operated as a 100% Export Oriented Unit (EOU)

Food Importers

All importers importing food items, food ingredients or additives for commercial use

Novel / Unestablished Food Businesses

FBOs manufacturing food containing ingredients/substances, technologies or processes whose safety has not been established under FSSAI regulations, have no history of safe use, or are being introduced in India for the first time

FBOs operating in two or more States

Food catering services in establishments/units under Central Government agencies, including Railways, Air/Airports, Seaports, Defence, etc.
